    The Menton Lemon Festival is one of the worlds greatest festival that celebrates all things citrus fruit! It is the second most popular event in the French Riviera and here is a list of some of the best things to do and see at the Menton Lemon Festival or the Fête du Citron as its known in France.

    When is the Menton Lemon Festival?

    The 2021 Lemon Festival dates are it will begin on Sunday, 14th February and end on Sunday, 28th February 2021.

    Visit the Citrus Patterns Exhibition

    The Citrus Patterns Exhibition is hosted in the Bioves gardens! This exhibition features incredible structures that are ten meters tall made out of oranges and lemons! They are breathtaking works of art and decorated to represent the festival theme for that year. Open from 10-6pm every day of the festival. Tickets cost €10 for adults and €5 for kids.

    Visit the Gardens of Lights

    The Gardens of Lights are citrus displays held at night time in the Biovès gardens. It is on every night of the festival from 8:30pm to 11pm. It is a magical display as the gardens take on a whole new perspective at night! Tickets cost €10 for adults and €5 for kids.

    Watch one of the Golden Fruit Parade

    You must watch the Golden Fruit Parades held on Sunday afternoons throughout the festival. They are incredible parades that have citrus fruit floats, brass bands, dancers, musicians, acrobats and more. It is a fun day for the whole family! The parades begin at 2:30pm and tickets are standing €10, seated €25.

    See the Night Time Parade

    The Night Time Parades feature lit up citrus fruit floats, dancers, brass bands and more. Tickets for this parade cost €10standing and €18 seated. The parades begin at 8:30pm and take place at the Promenade du Soleil (seafront).

    You must check out one of the incredible fireworks displays that occur during carnival. They are impressive displays that light up the night sky over Menton!

    Visit 3 Festival/Carnival Celebrations at the same time!

    If you plan on visiting the French Riviera in February than why not immerse yourselves into the south of France’s carnival atmosphere. Why not check out the Nice Carnival and the Mimosa Festival in Madelieu as well. These three festivals all take place at the same time and all are in close proximity to each other. They are all incredible festivals that are worth checking out!
